Feeding the plant CO2 without proper ventilation

Hi Folks, I am pretty much a first timer and I am wondering about the ventilation and the use of CO2 gas. As much as I understood, the point of Ventilation is to allow CO2 in the grow tent and release Oxygen back. However, the issue is that it’s a bit challenging to find a decent duct ventilator at where I am. So, I have been thinking of feeding the plant with CO2 gas without proper installation of ventilator. I am wondering if it still do the job. Speaking of CO2, Ive been thinking of cheap home made method of mixing baking soda and vinegar. Thanks much in advance.

Let’s take a step back and look at the entire setup you currently have. Why are you working with?

Also, welcome to the forum!

Thanks. The plants are still in seedling stage. The grow tent is a custom built one with card boxes and tin foil sticked inside, about 4 ft high, along with 230W LED light. I put a ordinary fan inside but no ventilation fan installed.

So how are you going to change the air inside the grow box with out a exhaust fan can you leave one side open are there holes in the box to let fresh air in
Also co2 additive is the last thing I would do in a home grow you already have plenty of co2 in your house for your plant from the co2 already in the air on top of what you breath out and your water heater and heater gives off co2 from the pilot light not all that co2 gets exhaust out of your furnace or water heater
How would you monitor your co2 in the air with your diy co2 method
I have been growing for years in a tent and never added co2
I would get your grow down first then start adding thing you learn as you go and each time try to get a litle better
Also I would read about co2 because I think when you add co2 you need to add light intensity nutrients and more humidity to help your plant take that co2
Its like adding nitrous to your car but you didn’t build the engine for the nitrous or the transmission or the drive line or the rear end
To add power adders you need to first know your grow what your getting out of what you got now and that way you can see what works and what doesn’t
You stat putting extra co2 in the air and you don’t know how much your better off just going with out
Just one person opinion

Much appreciated for the advice. I’ll then put a hold for the plan of feeding CO2.

You’ll need to create an air exchange somehow.

Is odor an issue for you? Let’s assume the plants will reek. Will anyone care if they can smell it. Don’t get specific, please. Just yes or no.

Odor definitely is an issue here since it’s not legal yet

Remember when I said “yes or no only?”

Good luck though.
