Fabric Pot Mod For LST

I had a $4.50 Harbor Freight grommet pack laying around for twenty something years for whatever reason. And it occurred to me, I could use that to make my fabric pots better for LST. I only grow two plants at a time so only made two. Took less than ten min and the only tool you need is a hammer.

There’s 104 grommets to the pack, and I only used six on each pot.

It was those same AC Infinity pots that gave me the idea. Previously I was using binder clips attached to the top sides of the fabric pots.

Ya I’ve heard of that method, I’ll admit, I am horrible at LST and rarely do it lol. I’m sure my yields would be better, I just need to get better at it is all.

Great idea! Planning ahead is such an important aspect of growing. A lot of people over look it and think they will figure it out when the time comes.
We use 100 gallon fabric pots. Before I put the first in a few years ago I placed in a short perimeter of fencing. Only stick up out of the dirt about two three squats. This allows be 360 degree access points for LSTing.
Kinda the same concept you have with the grommets.

Here is another mod that would work well, with your grommet mod. I use vinyl flashing to form rings that contain the run off from the top of the bags. I would think the grommets will let the water run straight out of the holes. Works well enough that you can easily form a puddle on top of dry soil without any leakage through the top of the bag.
