Extra lighting for outdoor seedlings. Hints and tips wanted

G’day , my baby girls will be grown outdoor . They are in small pots at the moment . And are taken outside for the day to get there sun . But are brought back inside and placed under a small aquarium plant light ( Aqua One , PlantGlo 45cm 18w ) Uploading: 1573387326858748028509 15733869987181275891590.jpg… My question is how high above or how close to the tops of the seedlings should I have the light . The seedlings are getting sun light from about 6:30 am to about 4:30 pm , then I bring them in and put under the light till about 10:30 pm .

At only 18 w I would think it should be within a few inches of your tops.
How about a pic of your girlz ? For reference of size please @Kan72.

The smallest plants are under 2 1/2 inches . And the two others in red pots are about 4.7 inches . I’m not use to working in inches . Had to Google it , lol .

And the light is sitting maybe a quarter inche above the tops of the larger plants and about one inche off of the small plants . hopefully this helps @Oldguy

I think you’re good where ur at. Just be aware of any tip colour change or burning but should be good there. :+1::v:
I just use a fluorescent 4 tube for first couple weeks.

I use this light at 2 inches from tops. Works fine. Robot or human?
