A friend told me to lose the glass on my light. The reason was the glass gets hot and adds to total heat index. Also it slows air flow through the light. What’s the deal.
The glass is there to allow the air flow to move most of the heat out of the room, before it spills into the room. If you remove it, the airflow will just spill out and push that same heat around the tent/room instead of out of the tent/room. Not sure where your friend is getting info, but I’d be asking where that info came from and research it myself before even considering removing the glass.
Your friends theory is wrong. Use your ventilated hood as directed by the manufacturer; Assuming you have fans pulling the hot air out of the grow space.
