DWC vs. Expanded Clay

A question from a fellow grower:

"Theoretically,

of course intrigued by container and all of the hydro options… how is dwc versus coco door, expanded clay? Thinking simple dwc or expanded clay in what size container? Didn’t think it would really happen… LOL kind of lark. Now kind of hooked on the technology available in lights …"

Coco will hold more water, and is an inert medium, you’ll need to feed right away.
Expanded clay will not hold moisture for very long, and is better suited as an anchoring medium for DWC.
