I just harvested my auto flowers. I live in the north east and now I have to start drying them. I bought a drying rack. The only space I have is in my garage or in a cabinet in my basement but my wife will kill me if I stink up the house. Any suggestions ? I live in the northeast so we have a decent amount of humidity. Can I used brown paper bags ?
Gonna want circation and ventilation wherever you dry. Shut up in a cabinet will only work if you can control the environment. Inside there. Without fresh air, circulation of that air and ability to maintain 60-65% rh with temps below 80 the dryspace is unsuitable. Got a grow tent and carbon filter with inline vent fan? Best place to dry. Slow dry recommended 10-14 days
Thanks !! That’s very helpful !!
Hi there. when I needed to dry in a closet., I put harvest on the hanging rack, hung in closet. partially closed to get a fan on outside pointed at bottom, not at buds.a dehumidifier in lung room. Anyhoo. it was a 6 day dry. u will figure it. where there is a will…lol oh yeah, i am in western ny
That used to be the way a lot of growers did it. Just want to open it occasionally for air exchange and keep it cool as possible.
You need to get a Wedryer XL has a carbon filter and fan on it as long as it is zipped up its ordor proof i hang mine in my basement run air conditioner on 68 only is my humidity in basement about 45. So i use moisture meter when i get 12 percent i start trimming then put in jars for curing
I agree on the wedryer! My husband complains about the odor so I got one for my first harvest and set it up in a closet right by the door we use daily and he never once complained about smell.
Go for xl if you can, its a lot bigger and only a couple $ more
