Does this look normal for beginning of 3rd week of flowering?

So I’m two days into my 3rd week of flowering, and super paranoid about messing this stage up. Been using Fox Farm nutrient trio, just got a trellis net and another light for my 2x4 tent. I’ve topped and LST’ed my plants early on, and defoliated under the net today. Have had minor issues with spider mites, but have used neem oil and a homemade spray with rosemary, peppermint and eucalyptus for prevention. I have spayed some Neem on them recently because I’ve noticed a few white spots on the leaves, but I read that as long as you don’t use close to harvest it won’t affect the taste or anything else with the buds. This is my first time really, so I’m just looking for some feedback on my growing choices and specifically if my flowers look normal for the beginning of the 3rd week of flowering.

If I remember right you never use Neem oil during the flowering stage. Everything looks good to me.

I’ve heard both ways, don’t use it at all, and you can use it up to 3 weeks before harvest. I figured since it’s early on and the buds are really formed yet it should be ok, and I also spray them down with water regularly to try and rinse off the oils.

Flowers absorb the neem oil so it doesn’t rinse or wash away. It isn’t unsmokable, but it can have an affect on the quality of the smoke. This is why it isn’t recommended for use during flower. Jack’s Dead Bug is fine for all stages.

Will it affect my flowers even at this early stage? I’m not planning on using it anymore, and thanks for the suggestion of the Jack’s.

I really couldn’t tell ya. I would imagine not in any noticable way. I stopped using it in flower because I already knew oil wouldn’t wash away. Like, if you do dishes and there’s oil in a pan, how long and how much water does it take to rinse it ya know? The part about it being absorbed and staying in the flower I didn’t find out about til after I already stopped

There are better solutions than neem oil during flowering. It’s best not to apply it once a plant has started flowering.

Capt. Jacks Deadbug is a good solution once in flowering. It contains a spinosad which is safe to use during flowering.

I stopped neem a while back. Never in flower. Went to growers ally. SUPPOSED to be same day harvest. No clue. Have not had mites yet. Not prevalent here but flies came in soil. This stuff DESTROYED them. They have a sample pack for free…5 bux shipping"wink"…makes 1 gal each fungicide and pesticide. Gonna get some Jacks now. Sounds worth having. An ounce of prevention and all that.

Just to update I bought some Jack’s along with diatomaceous soil today, no more neem oil during flower.
