Does anyone have an opinion about this LED?

I am just harvesting my first ever grow. I did WW Autos and was wondering if I could benefit from adding another light. Currently, I have a 32in x 32in x 60in tent with one of these lights (link below). I am considering upgrading to a 48in x 48in x 80in tent and was wondering if I should get another one of these.

You could spend that money wisely on a better light no doubt. Let me show you my old blurples.

Here’s your actual wattage on that light. I was shocked to see it even that high?

Here’s where my burple sits. That is actually only a 390 watt light and will really only be good for 1 plant and you’ll get less than optimal buds. It’s not worth the money.

Go with a light from Horticulture Lighting Group.

I would consider looking at two of the HLG 260 XL RSpec. To light your new 4 x 4 space. You could always add one of these now and then another one later depending on budget just my thoughts good luck.

I knew that’s what it it was actually putting out, I just didn’t know if it was effective really. I harvested one plant this week it looks like it’ll get about an ounce and a half dry. The other four look like they’ll be right around there too. The buds are alright looking. Some are pretty frosty and dense but I definitely see bigger, better plants on here.

They’re sold out :frowning:

Right and they grow bud. I see all too many ppl tell others that " ah that’s crap you won’t make it to flower" - Rubbish blurples will grow bud it’s just airy, fluff buds with no weight. They are great for vegetables and herbs but Mary Jane is a little more demanding on the the spectrum and needs a light that covers that spectrum and penetrates. Shoot many growers have veg and flower lights, but us small time for fun growers mostly aim for an all around light like above mentioned.

Since the HLG 260 XL RSpec is sold out I am looking at this one possibly.

The regular 260W QB V2 Rspec the same as the XL but with a less wide heatsink, so the board spacing is different. It’s a good light. You can pick up an XL heatsink later to convert it if you want to do so. I keep extra XL and non-XL heatsinks around here so I have more flexibility with my lighting options.

Good to know. I will go ahead and get this one because I have no idea when they will restock the XL. Will one be adequate for a 4x4 or should I stick with the smaller tent until I can get a second light?

You can buy the XL longer heatsink separate from HLG but the bad news is it’s a hundred bucks to the doorstep.

Just out of curiosity, was it likely the blurple that cause my WW autos to go 110-125 days instead of the typical 70-80?

No not really that 70 to 80 days is just a Breeder’s guides estimate. 2 lights for 4 by 4 space would be better.

You’ll need 2 to provide the best coverage for a 4x4. 2 XLs are ideal.
