Hey all, I’m going to be topping a couple of my autos tonight. I’ve picked a few that are doing really well, and also they’re strains that the breeder says are great at handling topping.
My question is this, the plants are due for a feeding tonight. Does anyone know if it’s better to make the cuts before I feed when they’re fairly dry, or after the feeding when they’ll have more water in them?
Never thought about it myself. I just top them when it strikes me. Have not had an issue.
Yeah, I’ve topped several times without considering it, but since they just happen to be due for a feeding tonight, it occurred to me that there might be an advantage or disadvantage to doing it before or after.
If nobody chimes in with some info, I think I’ll do it before the feeding, but I’d love to hear opinions first either way. I’m thinking they’ll be less rigid before they start drinking and filling up with water, but I’m not sure what I’m basing that on, lol.
If it were mine I’d probably do the transplant, top, then feed. Rip that band-aid off
I read some where it is better if you top /defol then feed after doing so.
Hope this helps
I have done it both ways and had no issues
Either way I never thought about it.
