Do you think most beginners harvest too early or late?

Trying to get an idea of what the most common mistake is. Hopefully with the scope I won’t make it but I know the bud today looked yummy and was still mostly white pistils. I almost cracked.

Beginners will almost always pull too early. A lot of new growers don’t realize the time it takes to grow a mature plant. They see the estimated flower times (8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks) and think that’s how long it takes to grow from seed.

I’d agree that the tendency must be early.

Being new I can safely say I’d have pulled to early if not for this forum.

Even today I was trying to convince myself the trichromatic were milky but they are clear. Sometimes you just want to believe

Early easily especially when all you’ve ever gotten was marble sized buds and you ve grown finger, hand or even forearm sized buds

I am guessing early. It is easy to get mixed up and caught up in all the advice, the excitement and the rationalization that it “looks like its almost done.” Best advice I may have heard was wait till you think its done and then wait another week or two… My first WWA below. Looks nice. But it was early and a week or two more would have made a huge difference. My two cents. But I am new. And still tend to take them too early. And to be fair, it takes a bit to get so you can see the trichomes and understand what you are looking at if you do.

Definitely too early. Theybdont have the patience to let it get to where it needs to be, or it gets messed up and has to be pulled early, or they don’t know what they are looking for to tell when its ready.

When ever I see a post asking if their plants are ready I can feel the anticipation and know what that feels like because I have felt it ever time I’ve ever grown weed. Without this forum many would have harvested way to early and most still harvest a little early IMO. I’ve only seen a few who waited too long, maybe they’ll get some foxtailing or some hermie’s or bud rot.

I’ve been there; definitely early.

Here’s my go to guy on most issues concerning grows, harvest, etc…

It’s soooo hard not to chop early , I mean 8 weeks , hours go like days and day like months waiting for these to finish lol . So I take one at 8 weeks , then at 9 weeks and so on , get all kind of highs.

Is it ready yet ? Lol
