Do you feed your plants extra co2 and if so how

Im curious who feeds their plants extra co2 and what type of setup you use?

And by extra you mean you already giving a co2 ? There is a couple of growers that use co2, what kind of co2 are you looking to use ? And I would advise unless you have every other aspect of your grow at optimal conditions I wouldn’t focus on co2 until then .

Yeah not really concerned…just curious…if it’s necessary or better and what a good co2 setup is…whether its complicated?

Apc8200 → titan regulator → 20# tank

Pretty simple to run

From the regulator I have a solid line to the area we are supplementing then T’s off to laser drilled co2 drip line mounted with the lighting

Pretty straightforward, now I’m even interested, is there any warnings or dangerous level in the grow room ?

I read “you can’t give em too much of it…if its hard to breath then ya might wanna turn it down”

I was also looking at these rings that go around the stem and stake into the dirt with the air lines inlet/outlet

I’ve suffocated mine once…or twice

Rain down is your best method, let gravity carry it to the canopy

That would actually make sense that its possible because it said if you yourself find it hard to breathe you may want to turn it down … but it sounds like it would be beneficial if not overdone

Yeah more of a natural way …sounds legit. Thanks yo

It really can be, plus with a decent nuclear nutrient line you’ll have baseball bat colas

The answer to that question is YES! Ive gone to a few grow shows as a first responder. The patients were slowly but surely deprived of oxygen as the C02 displaces that and actually bonds to you blood cells. Their 02 levels were upper 70s which is quite low. Should be in the mid to upper 90s. The symptoms are typically, light headed, dizzy, weak, sick to stomach, rapid heart rate with bluish tinge to lips. The worst case was a guy trimming bud in the basement in a room adjacent to the grow. He slowly started to feel bad and barely made it up the stairs, he said it was business as usual. I asked him are you using supplemental CO2? He said yes… did you vent the room and turn the gas off before you entered? No? I didnt know you had to? Uh yeah! man! You can die doing that… its very similar to gassing yourself with carbon monoxide. Eont be the last guy…

I use a simple raw sugar and baking yeast set up.

Once every 2 weeks I use 1 half quart of warm water to 1 cup of raw sugar to 2 tea spoons
of bakers yeast. It keeps my CO2 at 1000-1300 ppm in a 3X3.

My exhaust fan is never off (because of the smell) so I don’t worry about CO2 toxicity in my
living area. I’m using the Infinity S6 inline fan.

@PhillyRock That’s pretty cool, i was looking at diy setups also

Empty milk jug, fish tank air hose, raw or brown sugar and baking yeast.
Can’t be simpler.

And one less thing plugged in drawing power! I like it!

@JamJam ,I’m in no way a pro at this, in fact I’m only in my second grow, BUT I wanted to chime in on this. I am strictly self taught as probably most of us are, we learn by asking questions and doing research, in which BOTH things I love doing, I say that to say this:joy::joy:, I’ve done TONS of research, and asked TONS of questions, and gained TONS of information and what I’ve learned about co2 is YES it is excellent for our girls, there’s been a lot of back and forth on weather we ACTUALLY need CO2 in our grow op, and what I’ve found is it’s a matter of preference, budget, and several other factors, but MOSTLY it’s meant for SEALED grow rooms to supplement the CO2 that your grow otherwise IS NOT getting, NOW I use one(pro CO2), my flower tent is both sealed and not sealed because from 5pm to 8am my neighbors are home, and I seal it to avoid odor, (I do know it’s NOT mandatory to do this) during the hours they aren’t home it’s not sealed, but I keep the bucket in there open 24/7 and my plants are doing SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER than my first grow WITHOUT the co2 bucket, AGAIN I would be FINE without it, but I wanted to see how it would affect things, and I truly believe it’s BENEFICIAL in a sealed or not sealed grow room, just has to be monitored to keep healthy levels!!!
