Do I check tent temperature and humidity at the top of the canopy or down by the base of the stem (soil grown)

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

“do I check tent temperature and humidity at the top of the canopy or down by the base of the stem (soil grown). My guess is canopy, but I’m a novice.”

@Zombo, you need to have your therm. at the top of your plants…not top of tent

Both usually best trick is to use a laser thermometer at canopy and leave temp humidity gauge under canopy or out of direct light since you want roots cooler than fruits by 10f or more to encourage transpiration
