Discovering different breeders

So I’ve only ever ordered seeds twice. Both times from ILGM. Great seed, 100% germination.

I bough the Widow mix pack and 20 for 10 deal of Sour Diesel Autos.

Looking back, I should have not bought the SD auto deal. That’s a lot of commitment to one strain that I’ve never grown.

I’ve only recently discovered the Seedsman website.

It was a whole different world. All the different breeders!

I’ve created a short list of breeders I’m going to try.

Dark Horse Genetics, just because most of their names are comic book references

Bohdi seeds, because they were mentioned on a podcast to grow wonderfully

Barney’s seeds, because I’ve heard them mentioned in a few conversations.

Has anyone here had any experience with those breeders?

Also, how do you store seeds for long term storage?

I’m going to tag a few people just to get the conversation started.

I think peat has mentioned bodhi. He gets seeds from everywhere so he would be who I would ask.

BC Bud Depot, true north seeds, dc seed exchange, and seedsupreme I’ve all ordered from. I just wish ILGM offered regular seeds.

I’ve heard of a good strains from Nirvana.

This is the thing with these breeders, once they have a good strain, it sells out and never comes back.

I’d love to get my hands on some Bruce Banner #3

I’ve waited a couple years to order a strain, I assure you, if you want it, you’ll wait.
Animal cookies was the other, that I waited almost a YEAR for. You have to check often to make sure when they do come back in stock, you’re ready.

Some distributors have a “Notify me” feature. I scored a strain I wanted using it and I’m glad I signed up for the notification, as they sold out in 6 or 8 hours.

I’ve only ordered from ILGM. Eventually I’ll more than likely venture into other breeders strains. I’m so new to growing and haven’t really been involved in any aspect of weed for 35 years I’m not to sure that I need to get genetics that may be any better than what ILGM has.

I order seeds from 3 different sources. I grew a Barney’s but I can’t remember the strain. It was good. G13 Labs is a must have. Top strain genetics.

I could be here a solid month discussing seed companies. The biggest One I know is Attitude.

Seedman is also listed. I have over 800 seeds in my personal seed bank. My porn is collecting marijuana seeds from many different companies.

How do you store your seeds?

In ziplock bags. I need to pull out my vacuum sealer.
I keep the seeds in the bags they come in. I use quart sizes bags and they all go in a 1 gallon ziplock bag

Do you refrigerate them? Silica packs?

Nope…just ziplock bags. Humboldt is the one I get my Blue Dream seeds from. I love their genetics as well.

I use a Foodsaver to put a vacuum on them. I buy bulk silica beads for my safes. I usually put some of the silica beads in an empty tea bag and put it in the vacuum bag with seeds.

@NeoGroR 10 SD seeds is a lot of you have a tent my size. I ordered 5 for $89 from ILGM. One was a flop because I didn’t use good soil. One is harvested and curing. Another is going to harvest in mid July. The other two seeds are in their original package in a bag of rice and then in a paper bag and in my refrigerator. Good information and thanks for sharing. I definitely want to try a different strain next time but I’ve got to stick with autos because of my tent size. I’m just hoping for another strain with more yield. Don’t we all want now yield?:joy:

I think I’m always going to run an auto or two in my Veg room. I mean, why not. I have in my seedsman shopping cart right now 3 different autos. You can buy 3 seeds at a time for $25
Have you weighed your harvest yet?
