Do different plants of the same stain have different optimum harvest times if the soil is the same and the nutrients are the same? It looks like one sour diesel is almost ready and another is not even close.

Yes, they are all different. I just harvested two blueberry. One was done 3 weeks after the other. Same exact side by side grow.

Yes even 2 seeds from the same bud can differ in a few ways time to harvest is one . Both of those pics look like you still got 4 or 5 weeks before harvest

Geez, I hope I haven’t screwed up the plants. I started using GH Kool Bloom dry this week. The instructions say to start using it at week 6 and stop at week 8 then flush. Sounds like I may be way early. The ILGM guide says the best harvest time is when pistils are 70 to 90% Amber.

Not positive here what the grow bible says but we go by the trichomes being amber not the pistols but I will tag some pros for you @Donaldj @bob31 @Wishingilivedina420state hope this helps

I go buy the tricons on the bud. That’s the best way to tell. The only other advice I can give is to harvest a bud , dry it and try it. If you like it harvest the rest. If not let it go farther. It’s really up to the grower knowing what he or she wants from the plant then adjusting the harvest time to suite your needs. My first few harvest were premature. But after I got a good jewelers loop all that changed. Good luck

It says go by milky trichomes or 70 to 90% Amber on the pistils, but I defer to you guys. I’m in the middle of week 6 since I switched to 12/12, so maybe I’m really in week 5.

@OldSkunk, week 4 or 5 depending. You have a lot of time left. As long as white pistils are forming that means flowers are swelling. That’s not something you want to interrupt lol.
Your plant probably flowers nominally for around 65 days so based on that alone you have a ways to go.

So I guess I’m ok to keep feeding them KoolBloom powder? Or should I switch back to liquid KoolBloom? I’m feeding 1/4 tsp per gallon at 5.8ph. I’ve come too far to blow it now. I noticed the sour diesel really fattening up on it.

Yeah, I would until something changes. You’re working off of a schedule so keep at it unless the plant tells you different.
What soil are you in?

Bwahahaha sure I am bud . I am the like the blind dog that found a bone when I came across this site last year . June I started looking for seed banks online after a news show talked about them and ran accross reviews for ilgm and followed the links and did a ton of reading .
They say cannabis is hard to grow and I truly have a black thumb normally. I creep on the mentors posts and all you guy’s journal’s and try the stuff that looks cool or like a better or easier way than mine and copy cat what they use for nutes , soil , fabric pots tents lights all of it from here .I know me and my back pain and without @ktreez420 @yoshi @latewood @MacGyverStoner @Majiktoker plus several others I would have bought seeds and failed in my first couple of tries and lost heart and give up . I honestly owe every toke I take and the pain relief it gives to the guy’s who grow and shared thier knowledge on here for us to use .

you started right before me on here, but my story is pretty much the same as yours . I wasted half a bag of happy frog and few bag seeds before finding this site. I’ve been very lucky. Yeah I grew reggie 20 years ago out side with rabbit crap and miracle grow but it as nothing like this. Understanding ph , useing scrog and super cropping, smart pots, ffof, ffcl, and ff nutes. But I believe what nutes you use is minimal to a good harvest .

Plants look great but you got a ways to go I’ve been growing these sour diesels and they’re going to pack on some weight…like others say check the trichomes to tell when finished the hairs will tell you your getting there the trichomes will tell you when your finished harvest to early and you will be losing out…
