I’m not an expert but it looks like you got it right.
I’ve never grown autos but I’ve read that it isn’t good to top or fim them because it takes time for the plant to recover and they have a short Veg time before they switch to flowering. In those 2nd pics it looks like they have already started to flower. Again I’m no expert by any means.
I’ve heard and read that as well, but we do have people doing experiments with it so I’ll tag along on this post and see how it turns out because I’m interested.
keep us updated so far so good… I’m about to try topping an auto myself not that I’m confident it will react the same way a fem would but gotta try for my own peace of mind as some say you can others say you cant… in here lots say you can and there is some damn good growers in here… not mentioning names coz i’ll forget one or 2 by mistake 
@B345T, so far the one I femmed still has branched out from the top, I’m thinking it’s just gonna be one big bud in that spot. (Hopefully it’ll still bud and I didn’t mess up that top) And it is still flowering. The other plant that I did a top on instead of femming, it’s still growing out two tops like one would expect, also I’m not seeing any signs of flowering on that one yet. I will post update pics next week!
I just cut down my white widow last night that I topped worked out really well i’ve had him work well in them I had them not work at all You like to be in good shape though
@wishbone when you topped her that wont turn into a BUD… the idea behind topping is to take away its main cola forcing the plants to have 2 main cola’s top them 2 force her to have 4main cola’s least that’s my understanding of it correct me I’m wrong @Hogmaster, i have previously only used LST and super cropping myself personally topping and fimming are all on my list of things to try now I’m comfortable doing basic grows

Both my plants are Auto’s Amnesia Haze.outdoors. This is the one I tried to femme and it didn’t grow out four tops like I thought it should have. I think it may have been due to she was already starting to flower. But you can see the top where I cut just stayed bunched together, that’s why I was saying I think its just gonna grow into one bud. I femmed her on 5/12/17 so it’s been a week now.

This is the other Auto Amnesia Haze outdoors. This one I “topped” the same day that I femmed her sister and she has had two branches shoot up like it’s supposed to when topped but she wasn’t flowering yet like her sister was so that’s why I’m thinking need to do your topping/femming on your autos before they start to flower, idk that’s just my guess. Sorry the pic is sideways, not sure how that happened
@Hawkeye_diesel, yeah we have gotten a TON of rain and we had more severe storms yesterday evening but we’re all good here! How did you guys fare over there?
