Developed discoloration after flush yesterday.
What do you think this is the beginning of Cal Meg need?
Your plants went from healthy to that overnight after a flush?
Sure did
Has been three days now pots are drying out going to feed today see what happens.
Why did you flush?
Can you check for pests? You’ll need a strong loupe or scope
Without knowing your growing situation and just guessing……
To me, this looks like thrip damage, phosphorus deficiency, and nitrogen toxicity/nute burn.
I’d get some captain jacks dead bug.
What is thrip damage?
I ordered captain jacks. Thank you.
Thrips are lottle white flies look like gnats but white looking. They r a nuisance. Ud know if u have them bad enoigh as u would see them fly by the plants or crawling on dirt or leaves stalks ect. Make sure to look under leaves on bottom sides as bugs usually hide there to stay warm but out of direct light. I would not spray the plant if there is no bugs tho.
No bugs.
Thank you
I’m pretty sure you have bugs.
Thrips are so tiny you can’t hardly see them without a loupe or microscope.
FYI - Captain Jacks is safe to use during flowering, but apply it a few minutes before your lights go off
You are thinking about whiteflies, not thrips.
OK I got some jacks coming should be here tomorrow.
I trimmed them up there looking better so I can spray them probably tomorrow night.
Yes, thrips are very, very tiny. You need a scope or powerful loupe.
Insects would not cause that overnight. Why did you flush? Did you feed after your flush?
Yes I did feed two days after flush. I waited two days trying to get the pot to dry out a little bit before.
I’m growing in 100% soil and it hangs onto the moisture. I’m going to change that for next grow.
I’m a newbie and from what everybody was saying that you need to flush so that your flower is smooth I just went ahead and flushed it because I was flushing the other one because of nitrogen toxicity.
Mini lessons learned many lessons to learn.
But it’s still entertaining
Yeah, no.
OK, flushing your plant JUST before harvest I understand. Flush because of uptake issues? Great. If so, your final push of water should include replacement nutrients. That’s just my two cents.
The whole point of flushing is to remove excess nutrients. If your plants have any time left before harvest, they will need those nutrients replaced post haste.
Thank you so much for the help.
I understand better now about the follow up nutrients thank you.
I started using fabric pots last year. I would say that no matter your medium it is almost impossible to overwater in them.
