What is a descent soil pH meter not to expensive

I usually rely on slurry test for checking the condition of my soils, any decent meter that’ll have any good readings will run $120 on the bottom end. Equal parts soil and distilled water shake we’ll let sit for 24hrs strain and test.

Use standard PH meter and perform a slurry test.

20 minutes is plenty.

Thank you for the correction, I’ve always let it stand for a while…. Maybe I should consider re-testing?

I’m sure you’re getting good data with a 24 hour soak. But with R/O or distilled it will immediately adopt the base PH of the medium.
