Tie each outside node down to the pot with something then trim any leaves that blocks light to the buds. I just tied this AC/DC down a couple of days ago trimmed the crap out of her and flipped to 12/12. She looks rough but I’ll get at least 8oz out of her @Dexterado
I’ve trimmed plants like that before they don’t flinch and ya get decent yields. Just doesn’t look rite…lol
They do look like crap til they get it on @TLC
This is the plant next to it and it was tied down 12 days ago as soon as I saw it showing pistils. She’s going to be a monster.
Shit, that’s what I’ll try to do tomorrow. The limbs are pretty short, so will be kinda of hard to do.
If you’ve flipped to flower @Dexterado, it’s about the only way to go at this point. Once they get tied down, the sideways growth can be double compared to leaving them alone. They are definitely not too short to tie down.
I defoiled this plant the same as you do thru out veg and preflower then LST her out so it gets light.
I’m going to go back to work on her tomorrow. I’m surprised how fast it’s bounced back from my manhandling today.
Wow, I thought I was aggressive.
I went ahead and tied most of my limbs down this morning. We’ll see. I’ve never been this aggressive with a plant before with the defoliation, and lst combined.
Your looking good. Stay in your comfort zone LST and aggressive trimming isn’t for everyone but it’s effective. The plant will rebound rather quickly LST her a little bit at a time until you get the shape your looking for.
Looks good to me! You didn’t go too far at all.
What nodes are you growing? 1 thru 4 etc. Like sometimes I’ll grow nodes 3-4-5
You know, this is a very strange plant. I basically just cleaned up all the lower branches coming off the main branches if that makes sense. The biggest branches are the two lower ones.
At what node did you fimm the plant.
Like around 10. As you can see they’re only about 1/4” apart.
The branches that you tied down I’d cut em loose there going to be shorter regardless. The nodes do get close on a Indica Plant they dont stretch like a sativa plant does. Indica is different trends to be a shorter more compact plant that produce’s plump flowers. I think the lst technique @OldSkunk uses would be a better option. You do have alot of branches so vertical lst would be the best. Worst case secnerial may have to super crop some to even up the canopy. As trimming goes your good.
What are you doing for lighting
