Defoliating autoflowers?

No worries bro take your time! As long as they don’t die and still produce SOMETHING, I’ll be happy, I’ve read mixed articles on root bound and some say it just stunts them some say it can kill them if left too long

I use compost or coco fibre with perlite also, yet to try happy frog or anything like that bro

If they get root bound, what will happen to them? As one has started pre flower so I’m hoping they don’t die or anything as I’ve heard transplanting autos harms them

When they get foot bound, ph issues, and drastic wet and dry cycles. There’s no more “medium” to hold onto extra moisture/nutrients. If you stay on top of said root bound plant you can do it.

Ahh okay wicked thanks bro! I’m pretty much on top of it lol, I’m still in that impatient obsessive stage of checking them every 35 minutes to see if they’ve grown an any more millimetres and I’m always checking the medium :man_facepalming:t3:

They’re looking pretty healthy bro I wouldn’t worry too much, have you sprayed or got water on any the leaves or anything while watering?

I have them too on a few leaves but it’s only the older fan leaves, all the Newer ones no longer have them so I think it was either nute burn or water burn as I missed them at one stage also

No haven’t got water on leaves I’m very careful about that

Yeah the browning is only on older leaves I think it from over watering seein how I thought about a week or 2 ago I over watered them but thought they dried enough an fed them which in turn over watered them more I’m not quite sure

Ahhh I get ya Yeahh it could be that bro, let her dry out for a good week or two I just wait until it’s bone dry if I’m worried if fed too much before the next watering

nope why bother, not enough material on that plant to block light. Plus thise leaves are responsible for converting you fertilizers into energy. Cant grow a big assed bud without those!

Rootbound plants are hard to water right, they cant hold nutrients in the soil because the soil has been replaced by root. In other words, if you are gonna have issues with nutrient deficiencies, lock out, or watering problems it is highly likely in a rootbound plant. Will it kill the plant? Maybe not, but your yeild will definitely suffer because of the above mentioned issues. If you are careful, you can still pot up.
