Hello all, I’ve been reading more and more and I am learning a lot more than I ever would have thought.
My 600w mh/hps bulbs co e in monday and I’m going to do my first grow. I already have the 4x4x6.5 tent and all hardware, ie, fan ballast, and a lot more.
I guess what I’m asking is, is this going to be fun or overwhelming??? The more I read on a daily basis the more I realize I dont know jack monkey squat, lol.
Any words of encouragement are appreciated but if this is going to be hard as heck please let me know that too.
Thanks all.
Well that would depend on you. I enjoy working and spending time with my plants. So yes it is work but I love doing it. Now trimming sucks, but the rest is fun and trimming is made easier by being so close to being done
Oh I won’t mind putting in the time and effort at all. It just seems to me like there is just soo much that can go wrong is all.
Heck I’m retired also so yea I have the time and the will.
You have no worries looks like you got a good set up we will help guide you and welcome to the forum
Find a process that works and go with it. I use General Hydroponics nutrients small doses every watering with Pro-Mix HP so it is hard to over water.
Make sure you pH your water correctly and using RO has been great for me. I use 1/4 tsp of Epsom salt to each gallon of water. My last four plants gave me over 13 oz bud with this program.
Veg don’t start till you are working on you 3rd set of true leafs
Good stuff works great
I’ve been happy with GH for sure. The week 4* means use this for extra weeks in veg and 7* until getting into finish. Your setup should be fine @Irish. I had a 2x4 and quickly went to a 4x4 for more versitility.
Good point @Hogmaster. I don’t show the germination either which adds a week before the chart week 1 I uploaded. “Dead reckoning” kind of
It definitely takes hard work & patience to grow quality weed, but IT’S WELL WORTH IT.
Keep reading, learning, and sharing; we’ve got your back.
Really focus on your environment controlling it and and your temperature and humidity levels also ph meter and calibration solution. I spend 30 minutes to a hour every other day making nutrient solution and tucking and spreading out the leaves and 20 minutes to do just ph water .
Once you get a routine down it gets easier and faster doing thing. If you keep on it you will have successful grow and some big green nuggets to be proud of. Patience is something you will need to just don’t be afraid to ask questions start a grow journal and let the learning begin
I buy this to calibrate it with

They have a combination for 21 dollars of the ph meter and tds/ppm meter that would be the one to get i got that but if your budget is tight get the ph meter and get the tds ppm meter later
Besides venigar and baking soda to ph my nutrients and water up and down i use this
