Darkness before Harvest?

Can I get some input on the reasons for putting your plants in darkness for 24-48 hrs before you harvest them? I can’t seem to find much out there about the subject. Thanks!

It’s not that I’m believer its there is multiple accounts and theory to suggest it’s a good idea and then there is proof, it’s a small scale proof but it’s proof see here: [Darkness Before Harvest Lab Results] There is more out there and I have a post floating around here that’s a big responce but I failed to bookmark it so this is the summary version.
