Curing tea smell?

I got my bud in quart Mason jar
Humidity at 60
Temp at 65
In dark
I open to burp I smell in there bud smells like tea now
Whats going on?

The smell changing or going away isn’t uncommon. Curing it right will bring it back. Mine has smelled like cut grass after drying and after a couple weeks cure was smelling danky as can be. The longer the cure, the better the all around quality.

Terpines drive smell, though the terpines will come out best after a few weeks of curing. Give it a few weeks for the cannabis smell to develop. You may have a strain with terpines similar to tea.

These are pretty much an ideal curing temp and RH. Keep it there for a few weeks and the smells will mature.
