about curing, i live in very dry climate, heat with wood which makes things even dryer, the curing process goes well except the end product is sooo dry it could crumble, iv got the process stretched over 5- 7 days of curing, any suggestions? and does this extreme dryness effect the THC ?
Well if it is that dry might see about a humidifier just 30% 40% 5 DAYS OR UNTIL twigs snap the put in jars so it won’t dry out too much
There is also belvita 62% packs you can use to rehydrate your smoke hope I was helpful
If you can hang dry for like 3 to 4 days no trimming. Then do a full trim then put into paper bag in a low light room for 2 days. Then cure into masonry jars with vacuum seal. It will stay fresh as a daisy and not be all dried out. I hope this helps. If need to subtract one day of hanging and one day of bag. The vacuum seal will prevent molds or anything from growing. No air for them to live. And it really brings out the terps in it. Mmm smells good
Simply in cure you want about 55-65% humidity for moister buds you can throw them in cure earlier. As for 5-7 days during if that’s total time yet stretching it ty I 2 weeks in cure (14 days minimal)
cure if can @ 60% Rh for 10-14 days . a small humidifier can help ,But you should have it on a controller … A simple device I’ve found that is cheap , is a potable closet . most are made of cotton canvas . Build in racks or wire to hold clothes hangers of bud . and use a spray bottle on the out side of the closet 1-2 times daily or as needed. A small fan inside to barley move the air , if starting to dry to fast , mist out side of the closet . but a small humidifier with accurate control is best .
Hammer .
Sorry fellow grower . I missed one . No it wont hurt the thc . but can become a little harsh after the first hit or two … Like a dry cigar Or the same one out of the humidor .
