Has anyone ever heard of this?
I run 60% RH for the entire drying cycle. Overdried flower tastes like ___.
Just my opinion.
@Krayzie30 , I’m a cigar aficionado, and have cigars that are over 30 years old . I store my cigars very similar to the way I store my weed. Cigars 70F@ below 70rh%, weed 70F@ below 62%rh. The rule of thumb is mold like rh over 70% and anything below 55% rh you are now losing essential oils. Try a small batch and let us know how it went.
100% agree with above, I was so worried about mold my first time drying I dropped humidity way to low and came up with extra crispy leaves and left bud harsh, with little flavor. That 60% range is a great number. Never heard of the chart you posted but I’d say it pretty close to being right on. And in the temp side never try to be over 70 degrees, keep mine in cellar, says in 55-65 degrees and that has seem to work great more me. Best of luck
From a fellow Cigar Aficionado, that is great advice! At least we don’t have to worry about cigar beetles on weed
Well my humidity is 59% right now at what rh% should i stop burping and vacuum seal.
It tastes pretty damn good and and the high is pretty good too. It’s blueberry by the way if you were wondering
62-58%RH is the optimal range, so I would go ahead and stop at 59% where you are at.
