Psilocybin Adventures

Welcome here! Have you tried just eating the Lion’s Mane in a dish? I have heard it is good and want to try my hand at it soon. We take Stamet’s 7 supplement.

Sorry about your cake @MidwestGuy

My Purple Mystic and Luminous Lucies arrived today. I will inoculate tomorrow, which will give me a good look at the popcorn jars and see how they are going.

Thanks!

I have! We have used them as a sub for clams in Chowder and used them as a crab replacement in crab cakes. They are delicious!!! You can also slice them (into steaks) and grill them. A touch of s+p and a little oil, fantastic!!

Anyone know a reputable place I can get psycilocibe azurescens strain mushroom?

I don’t see them on Premium, which is the only place I have ordered from.

Things that make me wonder: when the description of ‘easy’ on a mushroom is relative. Easy is stirring together box brownies. I am thinking that ‘easy’ in the mushroom world is a whole different thing.

Same i had been getting mine from premium. I did hear spore works has them but I never used them before so Idk if it’s a reputable site. Wanting to try azurescens strain heard it’s very potent. The golden teachers I ate fresh an dry wasn’t that potent imo

Is gypsum powder something I WILL NEED in order to create a POPCORN spawn jar?

The necessary material list is shrinking and I will be looking very much forward to getting some yummy mushrooms growing very soon, but will need your help!
Stay tuned! :heavy_check_mark:

I grow in popcorn and have never put gypsum in it, but I’m sure it won’t hurt to add a little. People tend to put gypsum in smaller grains to prevent sticking. Millet is particularly bad about sticking. I do use gypsum if growing in rye.

I couldn’t find any, so didn’t use it with the popcorn one. I may be wrong but was thinking gypsum is cal/mag and all cells need it as a transport; like I use it for the cannabis. But maybe the mushroom can use it but does just fine without it.

Well, were committed now!
Will simmer for 45min to allow moisture into the white corn kernels.
Once this is done I can drain and dry, fill jars, PC and then once cooled I understand I will need to inoculate as soon as the temperature allows it. All while being very sterile and sterile minded. Once jars have been inoculated, I will put them away somewhere dark & 75 degrees fahrenheit.
Is this correct?

It is. Glad to see you making progress.

Okay, all four bags of grain spawn from NorthSpore were contaminated. And of course, I notice it right after I inoculated them. I had looked them over, just didn’t look at the bottoms. So no Purple Mystics of Luminous Lucies. But the Thai Lipa Yai that is on the popcorn tek is going nuts. Really happy with that.

It is actually a form of psychedelic though I’m not trying em. It’s just crazy right outside my front door and I live in the city

Probably a good call. No need to take risks.

Haha. I took a little too much microdose this morning and am having visuals. One of them was a colored orb. I was laying down on the couch when it hit and actually had a lot of fun playing with it. Not literally, but I could move the orb in space by blinking my eyes. The orb shifted down and to the left every time I blinked my eyes. It would leave my peripheral vision down and to the left and then when it dipped below where I couldn’t see it, it would then appear again in its starting position front and center in my field of view.

Kind of fun and a really weird experience to make this orb dance around the living room.

I have never been so thoroughly entertained by the organic/mechanic amusement park beauty of the patio cement when I had my trip. I can’t wait for my husband to have a fun trip and see if he sees the same thing. That would be wild!

@shady424 my dream would be to live somewhere near Hoh rain forest. Anywhere that is green. Your natural environment looks nice! We are so dry we only get the occasional lawn mushroom.

Edited: you know you are New Mexican when a dandelion and some mushrooms excite you and think “eeeeee…rain!” We sort of go”eeeeeee” when things excite us.

Well I was able to inoculate 2. 32oz glass jars and 2 smaller jars because I had extra popcorn that wasn’t going to waste. I did this yesterday morning.

I thought the process went well… Beings it was my first time. I feel like I properly sanitized my surroundings and materials. Time will tell.
I want to thank YOU ALL very much for the love, support and stories we share here! :heavy_check_mark:

Oh I hope it goes as well as mine did! I opened the brooder this morning to make sure the contaminated grain bag that sat in it for 30 seconds didn’t spread something to see that my Thai Lipa Yai popcorn jars are nearly full and the Brazilian ones are not far behind. I am thinking I may be setting some to fruit by Friday. It has been, what?, six months of failure? And the popcorn has been the first thing to really work well. So I am hoping you are just as successful. First time I tried the grain spawn bags were contaminated. Some right away. And then finally after weeks of trying they all failed. The BRF started on 12/28, I think, and stalled. I have three jars still slowly marching a thick white blanket over the older stalled stuff, so as long as they look good I will let them go. But I am thinking BRF is just not a good medium. I am wondering, did I pack them too tight and that is why they slowed down? Who knows? Then the grain bags I got last week were already contaminated. Now I need to go through the pain of letting them know and get a refund. But, yeah, I am thinking from here on, it is popcorn for me.

Oh my gosh, we have been working so hard in the garden this weekend. And the greenhouse is not yet here. We are so sore. But it has been wonderful. I have been listening to a lot of Barbara Sher lectures and am seeing that at 56, well in a couple of weeks, I am FINALLY figuring out my passion and that is gardening, growing cannabis, and the mushroom thing (would you call it growing? Fruiting? Yoda-ing with great patience? Lol)
