So my 2nd grow is underway critical fast bud in coco loco an i wondering does anyone kno when you should start to add nutes when using bush doctor coco loco
I would do a soil slurry or run distilled water through a container with coco loco in it to see what its ppm is. Feed according to what the results are. Also note its pH for future reference. It helps in determining if you need to flush or not.

Did u buffer it before u plaace seed or plant cocoloco about killed my plant. I switched to canna coco way better than cocoloco was
Buffer??? Na I had it sitting bout. A month in container finally threw my critical fast buds seeds straight into after germination n but there growinf great … An actually this hopwood auto flower burned one of my criticals right outta ground … Cannacoco? IMA check that out yea I got a huge bag of coco loco accidentally 40pds lol was xheap
@Mark0427 so it is buffered an I jus had some fresh coco loco in a pot ran distilled water through it came back at 5.41 an then i took my nute mix n ran it thru came back at 5.17-5.14 nos from what I read n learn that’s to low what should I do I have pH up n down I have Epsom salt garden lime worm casting mykos powder idk I feel like I kno what to do but still lil unsure

I just ran higher or lower ppm til it came out good. Try a 6.0 and flood it pretry good. Im no cocoloco fan and i believe it is more like a dirt than coco from my memory. It is nothing like my canna coco. @MidwestGuy @CMichGrower @Nicky @Covertgrower can u guys help him. Im not sure and dont really wanna stir him wrong lol. Is there an additive to add to bring ph up in Cocoloco
Camna coco. Its great. No nothing in it. Expand it with ur nute mix and go to town with it. U do need nute from the start but if any issues u can flush it super easy and start fresh again.

Dolomite lime is used to buffer (mitigate swings in ph) and also increase pH. It takes a while for the lime to break down and for it to become available. It will increase pH eventually. I would feed at a higher pH level. More like 6.6 - 6.8. You can top dress the soil with a little lime - maybe a tsp. You do not need much. When I mix soil and add lime, I add only 2 TBSP to two cubic feet of mix.

You can see 6.5 is the sweet spot. I would go slightly higher because of low pH of the mix.

Yea I didn’t really kno what I was doing an ordered afew diff soils n went by what I heard I reallblike how Oceans forest n happy frog work also I have hopwood auto flower super soil in the critical with red tag n Zkittles in with nautres living soil figure I see how different soils effect each plant/grow

@beardless yea I have some garden lime witch is almost same thing as dolomite I think IMA use some n try for reading I dont do run off but to learn n get right feedings I gotta ???n its all good @Mark0427 I apprecia the advice I kno u mean well an its all knowledge can’t hurt

It also drastically complicates feeding and trouble shooting. That is also the reason I usually don’t mix strains. I primarily grow in a 3x3 and do 4 plants per grow, no way would I want to mix and match feed, water, lights heights etc.

Yes that is the way it is. I made it through my first two grows without testing runoff or watering enough to get adequate runoff. Looking back now at those first plants reveals how sad they were. Always water to runoff and test often enough you know your medium isn’t getting off track.
Cooc locoo is to be treated like soil.
I have tried a few and now I only use advanced nutrients PH up and down. The rest seem weak or have delayed reactions.
Yea I’m jus confused boutbthe TBS meter… I have 2 one TBS meter n another one witch is yellow an tells me the pH reading . an I’m sure doing this way will allow better growth an bigger buds

pH - acidity / alkalinity
TDS / PPM / EC - all are different ways of expressing quantity of stuff in the water

So TBS measures how much the plant takes in correct?? Like foodwise… I see doing research nowndamn this is where I feel overwhelmed
