Cotyledons turning yellow.. help! New grower

Why are my cotyledons turning yellow…? New grower here and kind of winging it. Just transplanted it into Fox Farm soil, have light on it 18/6. What am I doing wrong I don’t want to kill it

Welcome to the forum.

This is perfectly normal. The plant no longer needs them. You will continue to see lower leaves yellow and fall off as the plant matures.

Your soil is far too wet. Let the soil dry out before you water again and then only give it a few ml of water per day at this stage.

You could possibly be watering too much , how often.

Thank you! That’s good to hear. I think I might be a little too worried. I see yellow and think it’s dying.

It’s not normally that wet, I promise :sweat_smile: This is after just transferring into soil and watering, so it’ll be a bit before watering again. Normally wait until I can stick my finger in around the soil and feel that it’s dry before watering again and when I do it’s with a spray bottle at the base of the stem.
