I have some seeds now in cup of water. I’m thinking of planting them directly into 5 gal. buckets for indoor grow which has been recomended by someone who turned me onto this page (I bought the seeds here). Thinking that for the recomended covering with plastic, your thoughts on using bottom half of water bottle to dome over seedling in lieu of covering with plastic. Is either necessary? Thank you in advance for any responses. My first post.

No, your best bet is to use solo cups, with ample drain holes drilled in bottom. Fill with nice premoistened Happy Frog potting soil or coast of maine potting soil and start seeds in there. Then transplant.
