Great idea. I have a friend with a lemon tree and she does that. Always a blast of fresh citrus when wanted.

Beautiful @Growit. Can’t wait for mine!! Another male @highcountrygal? Dagnabit!!! Did You take pictures?

Well I learned a valuable lesson today, a good rule of thumb! Do not get under your orange tree to pick an orange, when, it has been raining all night and day, and pull an orange off a high branch! STOOOOOPIDLY stoned!

Good thing we can laugh at ourselves.

Windy and stormy all day so far up here. I’m about ready for sun soon.

Does anyone remember the song ‘What would you say?’ by Huricane Smith? My parakeet, ‘all lee ver’ (Oliver) sings along with me with his best ‘chee chee’ through the whole song He gets excited when he hears the music. I did not teach him this.

I’ve never owned a parakeet or bird, not my thing, but they are very intelligent, and enjoy music just as much as us humans. @highcountrygal
True story,
You know how your mom always told you not to touch things in a store?
I came a cross an African Grey parrot, I thought how cool!? I wonder how friendly he was? I offered my finger as if to stroke him gently, and f$@%ing bit my finger HARD. But at the $5K price tag I took the pain, because I didn’t want to have to buy it after I killed it. No blood, but I am pretty sure it could have drawn some if it wanted.
Lesson learned, listen to Mom. Lol.

Your grow is looking great. I can really tell they’re loving the sunshine. Wish I could outside.

Plants are looking Great @highcountrygal. This sun will invigorate them, and you after two days of rain I bet. Yes those are big leavees. All the better to soak up the rays :v:

Nope don’t think I know that song. Funny how ‘all lee ver’ particularly likes it. Very cool. :bird:

If you heard the song you would know it @mulegal it was popular in the 70’s. He helped the Beattles with their songs. They were sopping wet this morning and as soon as the sun came up a little breeze came and knocked the water off. The little ones are loving the sun! I have to sit on my hands not to plant the best seeds right now. I set the day as the first day of Spring.

Oh so many times I wish I would have listened to my Mom! @Covertgrower I grew up with parakeets as a kid, have had 4 Amazons, one for 27 yrs, I have bred both parakeets and cockatiels. They are the only genus that can talk and make sense! Go to youtube and check out Alex the African Grey and Einstien the Amazon, they will give you a whole new perspective on parrots. And yes their beaks are killer!! Thanks I am a happy toker!

@mulegal Oliver is a deep olive green with really black wing feathers. I phonetically spelled it so it would be said right, from ‘Hooterville’ Eddie Alpert and one of the Gabors.
