My first seedling in coco is struggling 
Runoff is 0.5 EC! So I gave it a fairly strong shot of FF grow big. I have the pH at 6.5, perhaps too high? What should my nutrient EC be? She’s been getting the same nutes as her sister in soil…

There should be a feed chart available online for whatever nutrients you’re using. I’ve never used FF nutrients, but I remember the feed chart having a much higher EC than I’d ever use. I’d suggest you find the feed chart and start at about half strength of what it reccomends for the age of your plant. Also, cocoforcannabis(dot)com has a wealth of information about growing in coco. Do some reading there and you’ll avoid a lot of potential mistakes.
0.5 EC (250 ppm) is a good start but plant is showing hungry: target with FF nutes in veg should be around 1.9 EC or 800 to 900 ppm at 5.8 PH. Water daily in coco.

The new top growth is light green and she is behind her soil sister. I’ve mixed up some higher strength nutes just for her

Good afternoon, that is normal for the new growth to be lighter than the older growth. It will darken as it ages. happy growing. 
Yep, treat coco the same as hydro. Fix the ph to 5.8ish

@Myfriendis410 Thanks! Do I need to flush with water periodically, if so how frequently? Or should I measure runoff EC?

I don’t usually have to flush with coco but my situation is a bit different as I bottom feed… I think as long as your watering to runoff you should be good.
Watch out for those foxfarm nutes, their feeding program is very aggressive

If top-feeding in coco with FF nutes there are flushes called for in the grow schedule. I recommend monitoring the TDS of the runoff to determine when to feed and when to do water only. In coco when the runoff exceeds 1,500 ppm (3.0 EC) I’d go to water until runoff hits 1,000 ppm then resume.

@Myfriendis410 Great info, thanks. I’ve been curious about this: if the nutrients going into the coco are ~900PPM and the runoff is 1500PPM, is the increase due to root water intake?
