Coco and perlite in ebb and flow? In put please

I bought ebb and flow planning to transition from coco to the ebb and flow. Can I use coco in Ebb and flow? I’m thinking not but I wanted to ask.

Please give some input.

Cheers!

I’ve only read about ebb & flow so far & co-co is not recomended for it cuz it floats and wouldn’t give a good base for your plants. I can’t think of who is doing ebb & flow if I have a brain fart & remember I’ll come back & tag them for you.

You can but generally they use coco chips instead of the ground medium we know. Probably need to take extra precautions to keep coco in place and not get into either rez or pump.

You might look into some kind of plant bag like used for seed starting or even a good piece of nylon or muslin cloth that you could line pots.

I am doing an ebb and flow right now and used 4" pots with hydroton. That worked really well. Next one is 4" net pot, hydroton and neoprene collars.

Is 3 gallon fabric bags to big?

Yeah, you don’t need anything else beyond supporting the plant. Roots will hang out of pot.

What size fabric bags are recommended?
