anyone use something like this? looking for recommendation
I think @Matthew420 has a scope he use for great close up.
That is a nice one. How long is the usb cable?
It’s only a few feet. I set my laptop next to the grow room. It’s a little hard to hold still because of the zoom but I rigged it to a tripod type of thing.
If you have an Android phone here’s one that will work with it
This one is a better choice from the one you asked for advise
A good macro clip on lens is a very good choice too , you can digitly zoom-in with your phone too to achieved a better magnification
Hoping that’s helping you @Smokin_ernie
@Matthew420 thanks. I don’t have a laptop just my iPhone or my tower computer which is not so mobile. I wonder if they make USB extension chords?
@Niala thanks give me some ideas.
Kind of like the clip on idea for iPhone.
They definitely do make extension cables but a jewelers loop might work better for you.
Yay was just looking for something to check when buds are ready. I do like the one you suggested but it may be to fancy for me. Hahaha so maybe a jeweler loop is what I need.
@Matthew420 hey checking out some camera lenses for my iPhone and thought that you kind of know your stuff about cameras. Do you know the difference between macro and telephoto lens and what is a good magnification?
Macro lenses have no zoom (1:1). You need to move the camera closer to get a closer picture. They typically give very clear pictures because the glass isn’t typically curved
A telephoto lens can zoom and isn’t really made for close-up shots, like a macro lens is.
Macro is better for this situation, IMO.
Sorry to keep bothering you is 15x Marco lens good?
Hmm… might not be enough. I have 10X lens filter for my DSLR and I can’t see as closely as I’d like. You could try it and also just get a magnifying lens for short money. You can take a picture through it if it’s the picture function you’re really after.
And no worries. I come here to help out (and to learn more).
Thanks you probably right maybe should look at jeweler loop instead of the camera stuff
