Clearing overgrown garden plot

Is there a better way than pulling these up individually and tiling the plot?

Are you going to grow in the ground or above?

Thinking of a little off both

Mow it or weed eater it, cover in black plastic sheeting over the area you want for your garden for a week or two, pull it up, till, then take out the dead weeds. If you want to you can leave the plastic out longer and probably not have to rake out the dead weeds. If you are growing in that ground till in compost and other amendments depending on the soil you already have there.

Wearbear has a great idea with the plastic. The more fun way is one of those big torches. Weed burning is fun.

LOL “Weed burning is fun” (it SURRRRE is :relaxed: ). Wearbear has the best idea Mango. Black thick “ground cloth” plastic or even cardboard boxes unfolded work just as well just make a MESS if it gets rained on too much  Once the foliage is dead and gone, or able to be raked, it’s just tilling the dirt and adding “living soil” components to give them the best enviro they could want to grow in  Happy growing!
