I put my scissors in a small pan of boiling water. Others use isopropyl alcohol to clean them. I use a small ultrasound cleaner with water and a bit of citric acid in it to clean pipes. I use Gojo hand cleaner to clean my hands, though I usually use nitrile gloves to avoid getting stuff on my hands.

I like to use this, and I picked it up at a local grow shop. I do not like gloves, and never have. This works well on hand and tools both. It is a little expensive, but a little goes a long way. I have been using the small 4 oz bottle for a couple years now, and it is still about 1/2 full.
