Ceramic Metal Halide?

Has anyone used a Ceramic Metal Halide unit? Im curious to know what the difference would be between that and a HLG LED setup. Any opinions?

CMH is very good for veg stage. Growers using this type of lighting will often switch to an HPS system for flowering, as HPS offers better red spectrum. MH/CMH/HPS lighting all put out more heat than LED lighting, meaning that they are less efficient, as more electricity is used to generate heat (rather than light,) as compared to LED lighting. CMH runs a little less hot than MH or HPS bulbs.

@MidwestGuy thanks. A friend of mine was suggesting CMH since im about to pull the trigger on another light. I was going to get a second HLG 320XL, but the CMH sparked my curiosity. I think im going to stick with LEDs though since it produces less heat…

I just switched to led from cmh. I prefer the hlg 350r over the cmh, although I grew some nice bud with cmh using the 3200k bulb. Got a little foxtailing with both though, so that’s on me probably.

I couldn’t throw out the old tech fast enough after I got my first HLG.
