Caterpillars or whatever they’re called

Outdoor grow, sativa plants two years in a row with caterpillar issues. Plants look healthy, buds growing nicely, no sign of any problems until harvest. Hanging upside down the eggs hatch and descend on silk webbing. Two questions: 1) How to prevent and 2) is my grow still good?

Can you post some pictures of the specific issue that makes you question whether plants are still good to go.

In this pic I circled the whitish gray cocoon I found in one of the buds, as the plants dry, the worms start dropping via their silk string.
