Ph was at 7 i was useing sring water then changed last few days been collecting rain water tested it and i believe it tested around 5.
is that a clear pop bottle she is planted in? That’s no good. Ph is something you’re suppose to adjust to the growing media/plants liking, not just note what the ph your giving is. And I’m not completely sure, but it sounds like a lot of the promix is lacking in nutrients. You may need to have been feeding already. I’m sure someone will be by with more knowledge on the promix. But feeding isn’t going to matter much if you don’t have ph in range for uptake by the plant.
Like @dbrn32 said, the pH is the for plant survival because this way she can feed. I also don’t know anything about promix. It’s soil, soilless?
For soil you need to watsr/feed your plant whit 6.5-6.8 pH and if that is soilless that pH value needs to be in 5.5-5.8 if not that produces a nutrient block and the plant will not be able to absorb the elements what she needs to grow and finely she will die.
Whit this nutrient block I think she’s suffering from phosphorus defiency because this element is absorbed by the roots when pH is above 6.5…
Also like I already said you need to repot them in something black (the root system needs to be kept in dark so it’s not good to grow them in clear plastic pots)
Now let’s tag some people and see what they recommend!
@Countryboyjvd1971 @bob31 @Donaldj @Hogmaster
It’s time to transplant! That media is nutrient free. It’s the right stuff for seed starting but time to feed. Water ph in soil is 6.5 and media and hydro is 5.8.
Also if you have any questions or problems in the future you can use this thread and you can tag people by putting @ before the nickname @Deewsmoke
That’s my suspect but ph must be confirmed to be treated
Definitely the pH is to low for soil
So now I think him needs to repot in something “light proof”, bigger pot, and give it a light flush.
What do you think?
Ok thanks you guys have been a big help,i went and bought some 3 gallon black pots last week,i wasnt sure if i should transport them to the bigger pots with them being so young. Also i already have the foxfarm ocean soil how will i know when they are old enough to change to the nute rich fox farm?Again thanks a mill guys im just going through my trail and error phase with the bag seeds trying to learn all i can before i pick the strain i really want. Thanks again.
They should be large enough to handle Ocean Forest, do you have ph adjusting chemicals and a decent meter?
Dont have either but will get them tomorrow what type of adjuster should i look for
Anything digital that can be calibrated @Deewsmoke those probe meters are worthless! Save your money and don’t buy one of those! Your local hydro store will have ph up or down, as will some hardware stores that offer grow supplies. I personally have used baking soda and vinegar for PH up and down in a pinch.
How does the baking soda and viniger work
Both work just fine @Deewsmoke vinegar is the acid and baking soda is the base. It is usually best to pick some actual ph up or down at the store though.
Ph up and PH down which can be found in hydro stores or pet stores
@Deewsmoke will tag in a thread that I think you find it interesting
