Canoeing top leaves-droopy

This has become a nightly occurance now. The tops of both plants, one more so than the other, have started drooping and canoeing later in the evening about two hours before lights out. I have read that it is normal or routine for droop to begin at lights out but this seems to be worsening. They seem to be fine in the mornings but I if I am doing something cause the droop then it needs addressing.
Any thoughts?
Indoor grow-gold leaf femms-5 gal fab pots, ocean forest soil. SF1000 on full about 12: from the top 18/6 light rotation. last few days they are taking a half gallon each, mixed with a tablespoon of tiger bloom per full gallon every other night. I checked the moisture level and it indicated moist also finger checked found same.

Hi there. They do this sometime before going to bed. Is the tbl. of nutes the recommended dose every other day? Your light is 100 watt. I don’t think it will get you thru your grow for 3 plants. Have you checked your ph going in and your runoff numbers?

Hey thanks for replying! I am not sure about the recommendations for the nutes, I add them in to the watering but only every other watering, I should probably hold back to just water for a while.
I have the 3x3 AC infinity light on order, it will go in the main tent and the three germies in the styrofoam cups in the back will go under a dome with the spider light.
My pH is a consistent 6.1 going in, that is straight out of the tap, I let the water sit uncovered in the can for an hour or two before applying, that exhausts the small amount of chlorine (I hope).
I may be watering all wrong, i haven’t been watering them enough to get runnoff, well not since I moved them to the fabric pots.Is that bad?

You should check runoff numbers. Try to get ph to 6.5. On line they should give you a schedule for nutes. Its hard to overwater in the fabric pots. Do the lift method to check the weight when pot is wet and dry. Those moisture probes are kinda not accurate. Hope your light comes soon.

awesome, thanks man. Do you think the droop is from the poor water management?

Runoff will tell you more. Especially if those nutes are too much. Get a good ph and ppm pen.

:point_up_2: this is most likely too frequent. Soil likes a wet to dry cycle and with 5 gallon pots I would assume at least 3 days between watering or feeding. All 3 of the FF trio are needed once flowering occurs with the 3rd being sledgehammer for occasional flushing. Are you alternating water and feed days with liberal run off and testing the PH and PPMS :love_you_gesture:

@OGIncognito I have been watering to keep them moist but not wet. That, coupled with lack of understanding with the nutrients, is most likely my problem. That’s an easy fix, let them dry out a couple of days then water liberally,.I have been afraid of over watering but @beachglass also said water to runoff so…thanks guys.
You mention the FF trio,Tiger Bloom, Sledgehammer, and Big Bloom? Use all three during flowering? What nutes/fertilizer should I be using during the veg state?

My vote would also be to cut back on water. I have found if I use 7 gal. pots, I can water an entire gallon with very minimal runoff, and then it’s about 4 or 5 days before they need watered again. That’s with temps between 74 and 81.

First, with fabric pots you can’t water too much. But you can water too OFTEN. THAT’S the difference. Get used to judging the wet/dry weight, let that tell ya when to give more. Your PH is too low. 6.5 is your target.

Keep feeding Grow Big and Tiger Bloom, the sledgehammer is for flushing. Run off will help expel/rinse the salts that may have accumulated from the previous feeding and test your run off PH and PPMS and adjust for the next feeding or water depending on the results. Tagging a FF cultivator that has great results with these nutrients @Newt :love_you_gesture:

I do get great results with FF nutrients. And here is what I do. I use the entire line. I use it exactly as shown. I follow the schedule and feed, water, feed, water, repeat, inserting the Sledgehammer flush into this routine, when it arrives, and use a water day to do that, and then right back with feeding.

Appreciate that Grow Bro :love_you_gesture:

@Newt thank you Sir, if I may ask, by full line, do you mean all of the items in the photo? Big Bloom, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom and the Cal mag through Cha Ching?

Yes. Top to bottom. In addition to that, I also give Silica anytime the schedule calls for CalMag, FishSh!t every feeding, and Recharge every other feeding until they are flowering.

Thanks!

Did you just lower light? I agree not a very big light, but may have been too abrupt of increase in light intensity. Leaves will try to protect themselves if they feel too much energy. If not this, i would compare canopy temps and rh to a vpd chart.

YES i did! I noticed the node spacing had increased from about two inches to about four when they went into the new tent so I lowered a bit to reduce the inter node spacing. I have the AC 3x3 light arriving Thursday, Ill be switching them out at that time.
I must say, I flushed both plants yesterday and checked the runoff. pH was 6.3, with about 1500 ppm. Later I checked them before lights out, one was standing tall like she had been given a viagra, the other was still a bit droopy.
The light is about 12 inches from the top of the canopy, is that too close?

Could be.
