Can you identify this bug?

I spent a lot of time looking on the web and couldn’t identify this tiny creature. Maybe this will be more efficient. Anyone happen to know what it is? I live in northern California.

I found this guide that helped me identify some insects has very good pictures

Thanks I appreciate it.
I only saw one or two. I don’t know if they fly.
Probably a thrip because I did have leaf damage awhile back that looked like that’s what it was. I never saw them though, so I wasn’t sure. I think the clove oil I used kept them at bay for awhile maybe? I was probably too cautious. And now I’m going to try some cinnamon spray. I love the naturals.

They look different to me, but maybe I’m seeing the first pictures wrong. It looked to me like the dot in the upper right was an eye! Think I got the bug turned around in my mind’s eye?

Yeah lol the right end is the butt and the left end is the front of the bug

So that eye is probably really his asshole!
