Hi,
My plants are slightly yellowing. I just found out that the timer on my 3,000 watt light malfunctioned and has been on 24 hours a day for about three weeks. Is it possible to get too much light?
If your plant is a photoperiod plant and has not started flowering yet you should be fine.
Thank you
Yeah 3000 watts is too much light. You really think you have a 3000 watt light?
When cannabis gets too much light, it wilts. Pictures of this yellowing might help, as well as your basic input data (watering, feeding, pot size, medium, etc).
It’s doubtful that your light is 3000watts. Any company making such claims should be scrutinized very carefully. It’s probable that they put in 100 LED chips rated for 30watts max, and drive them closer to 3w. It’s easy to test with a Kill-A-Watt.
I have 2 1000 watt lights. 9x9 room with reflective walls. Too much light?
Welcome to the forum.
What are your lights (brand, model)?
Welcome @Mikew !
A 1000 watt High Pressure Sodium lamp would cover about 5’x5’ of flowering canopy. Even with 2, you wouldn’t see bleaching in a 9’x9’ room.
It is possible to provide too much light, but you’re in no risk of doing that.
