Can someone help me with a recipe for soil mix?

Question from a fellow grower:

i’m looking for a recipe for
soil mix. i live in a small community and not close to a major city so, i’m
going to have to mix my own. the materials i do have available are;
generic potting soil; peat; perlite; sand or small gravel; wood chips or mulch;
various fertilizers. can you suggest a ratio of each of the above
materials.

You can mix the soil , the peat , the perlite , and small gravel , maybe 3 table spoons of crushed lime and it should work great . But once your plant starts to grow and develop roots , you will have to give nutrients due to not having enough organic matter in your soil that help plants thrive from seedling to veg stage .
