Without killing the plant? They are 4 weeks into flower with 5 inch long colas. I know waiting is what i should do but i gotta dry one and try…what do you think?

I wouldn’t do it just yet. Wait till the pistils have started to turn Amber and then pick a small popcorn sized flower at the bottom of the plant.
Reason…that flower is going to be pretty harsh. I know…I’ve done this already. I did get high but the taste was like licking all my chemical liquid nutrients.

Yeah at 4 weeks, it’s a waste. I start early samples around week 7.

Trust them. If those trichomes are clear, there is nothing there. You won’t feel anything and just taste a mouth full of wet grass/hay.

Amazon delivered my loupe today. 60x mag trichomes are clear pistals at colas are milky and turning brown.i will do a lights pic for comments. What’s the trick with looking thru a loupe?
You have a long ways to go still. Its worth the wait. 
Don’t fret over the wait. Those flowers are going to pack on the size and weight the last couple of weeks.
