Can I save this by transferring it to dirt?

This plant has had this spot at the base of the stem since germination. This plant was started June 1st and has been doing fine until I noticed the leaves are drooping this morning. I think the stem is not healing because it’s constantly wet from the sponge. Can I save this by moving it to Happy Frog?

@Dave62 yes you can transplant to soil no issue.

Thanks for the information. Also I will need to know if I can try transferring the whole root system and see what happens or should I clip it above the damage and try rooting it as if it were a clone?
