dear goddess what a beauty!
Thank you everyone! I am truly blessed to live where I do
OK, it’s been a week since I posted an actual update LOL
This morning I added worm castings, R420 Bloom, a calcium based fertilizer I got from the local Citrus Growers Assoc, Epsom, and Earth Juice Bloom. That was all just a top dressing, then I covered it with R420 soil because some of the roots were above ground. I’m going to spray PC1+BT tonight and water in all that goodness.
PURPLE HAZE

… I really love the turkeys in our yard!! They found another one!! 42 inches long WITHOUT the tail (have no idea where that went LOL (again it had started to curl up so one shotgun blast hit it in 3 different places. Not the biggest we’ve had - I think that one was a good 6+ feet!
He looked angry in that closeup. Good thing you got him. I think he meant trouble!
What’s really creepy is that he was definitely dead but had his eyes wide open!!!
That snake looks wild! So glad we only occasionally see garter snakes.
Those stalks are insane!
That’s for sure!! I don’t think he would have looked nearly as menacing in the pic with closed eyes. He looks totally wicked though!! I should also mention how cool it is you can just blast stuff with a shotgun in your yard.
We only have a 1.5 acres but the guy behind us has 150 and left and right of us each has 10 and we all live on a hill… we’re in hillbilly country so we all have guns
We are in a suburban area with a small yard but open space, creek, and a park behind us. We have coons, feral cats, fox, coyotes and deer wander by. I would love to have an acre or two!
We have a rifle, shotgun, and handgun for the two-legged predators. My Tarzan saw a guy trying to break-in to one of our vehicles. Security system went in shortly afterwards.
We all have guns here too, their just 9mm handguns we use to shoot people, not the wildlife.
Yep, see.
We have a few of everything LOL… we have them for any number of legs… any number of occasions…
Plus; a kind word and a gun gets WAY more than just a kind word haha.
Just realized I never posted my update from this weekend. The Purple Haze is really packing on some frost. Hopefully I can get a few pics of the other 3 later today. Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend!!!
The garden is smelling wonderful and everyone is packing on a lot of goodness. Still hunting the giant moth. I thought for sure it would come out at night when I turned my flashlight on… arg…
Yesterday, they all got a concoction of Epsom, Liquid Bone Meal, Cal/Mag, Great White, FF Manganese, and a generic Calcium fertilizer combo (2-6-8) that I bought from the citrus growers association.
They cannot seem to get enough and I’m positive it’s a ph problem but I’m not too concerned giving how far along they are and they are developing nicely. I have too much other stuff going on to sit an ph 10-15 gallons of feed/water.
I’m still spraying for mites but starting today I’m using homemade MTA UltimateUM and they are due for a spray tonight. The mites aren’t as bad this year and I’m hopeful that it is because of the row covers. I can never keep everything out and it only takes or 2 to go unchecked and make 1000 more and I had some mites before the covers went on.
I’m thinking next year, I may start off with the row covers on. Hubby talking about making the enclosure more like a greenhouse with a peaked roof to accommodate their height…
Very nice indeed sister
Well, I managed to get a few pics yesterday. The single bud shots, I forgot what order I took them in so I can’t say which is which (plus there were only three so I forgot someone .)
I gave everyone a half strength dose of FF Grow Big. Some of the lower leaves were really turning yellow fast. They also got their normal mix of everything.
The cooler temps at night are making my gals move along much quicker.
Wishing everyone HAPPY FRIDAY!!! WOO HOO!
We haven’t seen a mantis at all this year.
Looking good!
Thank you, my friend!
