Can I really grow just one plant this year?

It also says in the pamphlet that you can use any unused right into the pot.

Ok be prepared for amazing growth!! I’ve picked about 8 gallons of strawberries so far in just under 3 weeks! There are so many still there plus all the ones I threw out because of critter damage :rofl::sunglasses::sunflower:

Thanks! Hubby built it just for me and my sacred plant. This year, I scaled way back… nly have 3 plants going, possibly 4 (I should get my sex testing back on thelittle one today)

I absolutely love it, super easy on the eyes and functional.

I think with all that magic juice you’ve been giving them you’d think it was 6 plants when it’s all done.

Well, I was wrong about it being a male so off to her permanent home outdoors!

So “Annie III” finally gets to go into her forever home… Her roots were beautiful considering she didn’t hardly have a single root when I got her out of the rocks.

And here she is next to Purple Haze “Violet”… she’s so tiny! The pic in the middle shows how my catnip was shading that part of the garden, after I cut it to go below the raised beds, and the pile of catnip that I removed… I did this exact same thing about a month ago and I’m definitely NOT giving it BBP LOL

And Annie I, II and Green Crack “Ivy”

And some stem porn (from I and II) and we’ve only just begun

So, I’ve been having slug problems. I’ve not encountered them in this garden before… I have them in my strawberries, but not here until now.

I’ve spread hard wood ash around each plant and set up beer traps. Since I can’t visibly tell if the ashes are working, I can definitely see them in the beer. I change the beer every day and find about the same number so I may need to put more beer traps around. I even caught, what I think is , a white fly and a bunch of really small insects.

Everyone got a BBP treatment two nights ago and top dressed with some R420 dry amendments, Mykos and some worm castings.

A perimeter of table salt will deter them.

@Newt has suggested salt which I have used on the perimeter as well, I used kosher salt that worked pretty well. Just need to make sure it stays away from plant soil.

How do you keep it from the plant soil?

You would just need a perimeter about 3 feet from your grow area. You could put down some strips of plastic, cover them with some soil, and then put the salt on top of that if you are concerned about leaching due to rain. But it’s fairly dry there isn’t it?

And it doesn’t take much. Salt dries them out, so they avoid it like the plague.

From what I see, your plants are elevated. I would go around the outside of your awesome structure, at the base, and put a line all the way around.

I use broken egg shells too.

Well, we had some excitement at the home front yesterday. I had just got home and we noticed a smoke plume in the backyard (neighbors property). I told hubby it didn’t look right and that I couldn’t imagine our neighbor starting a burn pile so close to the trees so he went to check it out and came running in the house hollering for me to call 911! I didn’t think twice because he’s usually the reasonable and calm person of us.

I called and they said it had already been called in. I ran outside and hubby had already drug our 200 foot hose over to the edge of the fire.

Right at our property line, the neighbor has a ton of dead and felled trees. Now he pays a crew to weed eat around but from his driveway to the property line (yes, where all the kindling is), he doesn’t touch (probably because of all the dead trees).

I ran down with a shovel and by then, the fire crews wee there. I even heard a plane and helicopter coming (CalFire doesn’t waste any time calling in all the backup anymore).

They/we got it contained to keep forward progress from hitting all the dead trees. If we hadn’t, when those trees went up, there would have been no stopping it.

I hit the Mighty (3 capsules worth) and treated myself to a margarita and a shot of tequila.
