Hello! I was wondering if this plant looks too young to flower? Sour Diesel photo
How much height do you have? If you have under 8’ of height I would have flowered a while ago
Yes! If you’re happy with the size! plants tend to almost double once flowering is initiated!
Just based off her size and not seeing signs of sex based off picture, you can. She will double in size/height in 3 to 4 weeks after you flip light schedule.
Though you didn’t ask, not sure how much height you have left in your tent, but if you’re going to have a height issue, I’d top off her give her a few days to recover, do some heavy defoliation and flip. Topping her will give you more colas and fill out your tent, more bud sites, more yield.
Awesome!! I appreciate it!!
Not much room left in that tent unfortunately LOL she is a sour diesel feminized strain
To maximize yield, I’d see what @Hellraiser (my mentor and to many others here)has to say on where to top her. Looking at her stalk, she is a little all over the place.
I also think you need to add some more N, to your nute feeding. Those close up pics, that will help us, shows some def.
What soil and what nutes if any are you using, I also think a little CalMag would help her. Before you flip you need to defoliate too. Clean up all those leaves that won’t produce.
She is definitely a girl and ready!
I appreciate your help! She is in Dr. earth all purpose soil and I give her a little mixture of Dr. earth 4-4-4 with a bit of bloodmeal and Neptunes harvest kelp meal. Also worm castings. I have given her blue planet nutrients calmag and when I felt that wasn’t working a tablespoon of Epson salt in the water
No worries, were all here to help. Frankly am interested in how she turns out.
Am thinking you might get a very nice harvest. Just depends on where the top is made.
What lights you got over her?
It’s never too early. You’ll sacrifice the yield, though. I put these 1 month old clones into flower.
They were for a reveg experiment and only yielded about an ounce each.
From soil to top is 2’3” With about 4 1/2 inches to the light
They look good!!! An oz a piece is decent!
Oh boy. You’re in a predicament. She’ll grow 4” probably within the first week of 12/12 and still have another few weeks of stretch after that. May need to super crop but not sure if that’ll even be enough.
Yeah that plant is way too tall and will be a problem when you start flowering. You have plenty of space but not much vertical space to deal with the stretch that comes with flowering
If it was my plant, I would bend her over. Take a string about 12-18" long and tie it to the top of the plant around the stalk, tie the other end of the string to a brick or something with some weight. Then gently and slowly bend the plant over until the brick/object is on the floor. You can do some pinching of the main stem to make some flat spots to make the stem bend easier rather than breaking. More flat spots for more gentle bends instead of one big bend that will make it more prone to breaking. Then flower her immediately.
Option 2 would be to just chop off the top half of the plant, give her a few days to a week to recover and then flower.
You would get way more yield with the first option, not having to chop your plant in half.
