Can a fan be too weak for a carbon filter?

I have a fan with a145 m³/h rating, carbon filter is a RAM 170 m³/h rating, will it work properly or would i need a 170 m³/h fan for it to work as it should?

Sorta it can be to weak to absorb all the smell before it leaks out but no matter what itll at least absorb the smell partially

As long as humidity and temperature are good you should be ok @Incognitoswede
