Calmag deficiency

Morning Growers,

I have a power glue problem. It maybe calmag. Would someone chime in on this and take a peek and let me know. Thanks Peace Out

Light is 16 inches from canopy
Stonington blend soil
Plant is 40 days vegging
indoor tent
pH 6.3-6.7
Strain Power Glue
RH between 30-50
Temp 71-80
Holes on side and bottom for drainage and airflow for roots
18/6 light schedule

I always start with environment and seek root causes. Most plants don’t just get sick, there are imbalances that cause the issue(s). Balance the environment and they do the rest.

RH seems a little low for temp. If Humidity is low, the rate of evaporation from the leaves can exceed the supply of water into the roots. This will cause the stomata to close and photosynthesis to slow or stop. The leaves might be at risk of high temperature injury since evaporative cooling is reduced due to the lack of water to evaporate (leaves are beginning to taco).

Since the plant sucked up all the moisture from the grow medium, it has now depleted nutrition supply and shows a deficiency.

To decrease the VPD, operate fog or misting devices to add water vapor to the air, or cool the air. Both would reduce VPD level and the evapotranspiration stress

After you have addressed the root cause (high VPD) and corrected it, treat the symptoms (magnesium). Check the pot to see if it’s light. Dechlorinate/dechloramine your water, add Cal-Mag + and pH the water. This would be a good time to feed per your nutrition mfr feed schedule.

You could also use Cal-Mag+ as a foliar spray but be sure to let the leaves dry before placing it under intense light.

I recommend adding some microbes to assist the roots in taking up the nutrients.

If your environment is not balanced treating plant symptoms will be a short term solution to a long term problem. .In general,a balanced environment won’t cause deficiencies.
