Calling all plant doctors, injured plant!

I messed up on my final 2 weeks of the season. I went to add support to the plant and I snapped a branch. It damaged the entire stalk along with a pretty deep chunk of the stalk taken out. Anyone have any advise? Can I tape it up or do anything to repair this? It’s deep so I’m doubtful. If there’s nothing I can do, will it still make it another two weeks or do chop it now? I added pictures. Only two are of the damage. The others are just to show you how far along it is.

Gotta wait for pics to upload…

Electrical tape with a little honey on the injured spot will usually fix a break.

Get some aloe to heal up that wound. It’s inviting stem rot open like that

Bruh… 12 foot plant with a limb that busted off, was hanging on the ground. It still had a strip of cambium hangin on so I used electrical tape to bind it up good and snug.

A month later and a couple good storms and shes still there, the branch is makin budz

Amazing. Since you have them in the ground, do you still use nutes? Huge plant. Beautiful.

Hi @Possum512 no I dont use nutes at all. I use compost, maybe some teas if I feel the urge, I use animal maunures, mostly lama or alpaca because they are really well balanced and less weeds. I have used well rotted steer manure as well with great success but its pretty weedy. I will admit to using kelp and seaweed extract, though it isnt needed if your soil is healthy. Cannabis will grow in pretty much any decent garden soil without any need for artificial fertilizers.
I suppose the term Nutes is a bit misleading? I just use all natural nutes. Like worm castings etc. A lot of top dressing and very little digging or tilling. Hope that helps? Feel free to ask me anything.
Oh by the way, I use the same soil and methodry in my greenhouse as well.

That’s pretty unreal. I didn’t know that could be that large. Is that only achievable outdoors?

Well no you could do it in a large greehouse but for all practical reasons you would need some pretty elaborate lighting to illuminate a plant that size, you would also need a really tall cieling. These plants are no joke, they are quite massive. Here is my wife working in the greenhouse last fall.

So yes it could be done indoors but the lighting system would have to be pretty large and be also on the walls. Sun light is much more penetrating than artificial lights. Also the suns light is essentially the same strength at the top of the plant as on the bottom. This is not so with artificial lighting… hence you would need satellite lighting to work the sides and bottom of the plant as well.
