California g solorXtream 1000 grow light

Just got the California solorXtream 1000.
In 4x4 growing autos. Wedding cake. NL and sweet tooth.
Says 38 inch veg, 28 flower. Joined California growlight FB page .
They said durning flower drop down tov18 inch. So was wondering what height others are doing to get max out of them without burn. These are powerful lights. Had china lights which did kinda well. But upgraded for better bub
Thanks

I run my 250’s at 15” during bloom but I use one per plant. I would watch about going lower than 24” with the 1000 so you can get the 4x4 footprint :v:t2:

California lightworksFB page said drop down to 18. But font think thats for autos.

I have the solar system 550’s and I don’t really drop them under 24 inches really, things start getting burnt for me…

You can run the Extreme series with their proprietary COB’s as low as 12” if using the 200 watt fixtures but you will burn tips… 18” is still the sweet spot.

The Osram diodes are top bin :+1:t2: I like the spectrum control as well. They need a larger air gap than their COBs

Specs say 28 bloom 36 veg.
Being US wouod think unlike china lights be a bit more forward

The 800 watt (1000 series) needs a large air gap. Foxtailing is a sign of too much light (besides bleaching and/or burning). If you have a quantum light meter, you can target PPFD and forget height guessing …

Dont have a quantum but will be googling that.
Raised them up a bit. But like the not guessing thing.
